Kev is a visual artist, living in Ridgewood, New York. He spends his time drawing, writing songs, novels, and screenplays, building fabric sculptures and puppets, animating, riding Citibike, and tending his houseplants.
Fabric Nudes
During the first workshop, he built a series of fabric sculptures based on imagined poses. Kev set out to complete one figure a day and created thirteen over a two week period. It is Kev’s hope to continue to create felt nudes (of all shapes and sizes) in the coming months and years, until there are too many of them to count,
Books of Drawings
The goal of Kev’s second project was simple: one book of drawings a day for two weeks, based on a list of subjects he had made at the outset of the workshop. Some of the books were more successful than others, but the fast pace of the work and the experimentation of techniques and subject matter made for a humorous and exhilarating creative project.
Both projects are open ended, and Kev continues to create more Fabric Nudes and books of drawings.
